Various African countries have had their fair share of pastors performing jaw dropping “miracles” and the latest case of a pastor in South Africa has left many in disbelief.
The 23 year-old Thamsanqa Sambulo, who hails from Pietermaritzburg claims to have performed a miracle after he allegedly poured boiling water on himself and members of his church during the “night of exploits”.
Writing on his Facebook page, the “boiling water” pastor of Thy Word Kingdom Harvest Ministries has challenged believers to reveal their faith, asking the congregants, “who has faith here?” before pouring the boiling water.
In the “miracle” pictures which have been shared on Facebook, the pastor is seen pouring “boiling water” on church members, although there is no way of verifying whether the water was indeed boiling.
A number of prophets have performed “miracles” which have made headlines but not without controversy over the legitimacy of these acts.
Last year a South African Prophet Penuel Mnguni, of End Times Disciples Ministries commanded a snake to turn into chocolate, then had his followers feast on the chocolate tasting reptile.
In another controversial act, Malawian Prophet Shepherd Bushiri founder of of Enlightened Christian Gathering Church, last year released a video purporting to be walking on air.
