It was an emotional scene at Kamuzu International Airport today as over 300 Malawi citizens arrived on a South African chartered plane. The passengers, deported Malawian citizens, had been returned to their native country on account of improper immigration documentation. This group is the first batch of over 1000 being held in SA’s immigration detention centres, awaiting deportation.
