Nakia is a member of the Dora Milaje who is often sent on missions around the world. Will she be Black Panthers  love interest? Another departure form the comics where Black Panther ends up with X-Mens Storm? In the comics Nakia becomes increasingly obsessed with her king, fantasizing openly about marrying him. At one point, she even threw herself fifty feet into a shallow pool to get her king’s attention.

Angela Bassett will be playing Ramonda, the mother of T’Challa AKA Black Panther. In the comics, the character is actually T’Challa’s stepmother, with his actual mother dying during his birth; so it looks like this will be a departure from the comics, likely just for narrative simplicity.

Freeman’s character of Everett Ross was “traditionally the US government’s man in Wakanda,” making his inclusion in the Black Panther film extremely likely, though we’re still glad to have it confirmed. Freeman was introduced in Captain America: Civil War and, while his character may have hidden depths, so far all we’ve been treated to is the signature Martin Freeman fussiness.

Ulysses Klaue made his debut in the Marvel Cinematic universe during the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron. He is currently gearing up to face against Black Panther. His high-tech Prosthesis makes it sound like Klaue is about to become far more dangerous and faithful to the comics than he was in his debut.

Ayo is a member of the Dora Milaje and the head of security for King T’Challa. In the comics she is also a prominent gay character although this aspect has allegedly been erased from the film. The erasure sparked the hashtag #LetAyoHaveAGirlfriend as this could have been the chance to see openly gay black women in a superhero film.
