The prime minister said this at a press briefing after being received by President José Eduardo dos Santos, at a meeting dedicated to discuss problems related to the political situation in the CAR which has claimed the lives of many citizens.
“Our country is in a state of crisis and President Jose Eduardo dos Santos has given wise advice, that is why we are here, once again, to receive his guidance, in order to overcome this situation,” said André Nzapayéké, before also highlighting his role as chairman of the (ICGLR).
The Angolan president has held the presidency of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) since January and has actively sought solutions to the conflicts in central Africa.
The ICGLR was created after the political conflicts that hit the Great Lakes region in 1994, whose result marked the recognition of their magnitude and the need for a concerted effort aimed at promoting peace and development.
