Samuel Abisai, 28, now joins the league of millionaires in Kenya after winning the SportPesa mega jackpot games worth $2 million after correctly predicting results for 17 football games.

According to the SportPesa statement, Abisai placed two mega jackpot picks of $1 each and by the time the company was calling him to pass the news, he was already aware that he had won and was celebrating with a friend.

SportPesa CEO Ronald Karauri personally called the winner who was at that time still having a drink with his friend in the wee hours of the Sunday night.

“The CEO advised the winner, who was screaming, to end his night out, to which he said, ‘I’m going home right away,’” the SportPesa statement said.

Abisai a father to one daughter, who works with a Chinese company, now plans to give some of his winnings back to society, including supporting his local football team, building a football academy in western Kenya, buying a car and investing in real estate.
