A couple’s quarrel in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal ended terribly, when the husband allegedly intentionally crashed his sports car into his wife’s Mini Cooper.
According to News24, IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson Dylan Meyrick said “It was a domestic dispute between husband and wife. [The] husband in his Toyota 86 sports car drove into the back of his wife’s Mini at the complex gate,”
“Both vehicles and gate and fence extensively damaged. [The] wife and a 3rd party ran away from scene prior to our arrival,” Meyrick added.
However, it is unclear if the police where called to the scene and whether the man will be charged with reckless or negligent driving.
South Africa’s National Road Traffic Act defines reckless or negligent driving as wilfully or wantonly disregarding the safety of persons or property and in such cases, the court determines the specific circumstances of specific cases.
