In a shocking revelation this week, organisers of the Ghana Movie Awards confirmed rumours that no short dresses and revealing outfits will be allowed.
In an interview on the Accra-based Hitz FM radio station, Ghana Movie Awards founder spoke about issues of bad behaviour and what is considered an acceptable attire at the awards.
“The prescribed attire for the awards is tuxedo or black tie for the men and evening or dinner gowns for the ladies. No short dresses will be allowed,” he says.
This year’s lavish ceremony will be held at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel on December 4, 2016. And organisers seem to be keeping a tight grip on the patrons attending the event. The question is, will those attending the awards this weekend stick to this new directive? We’ll have to wait and see.
Here are some outfits from previous Ghana Movie Awards that probably won’t make the cut this year around.
