Stella Mwangi or STL as she affectionately known by fans has already set herself apart as one of the only African stars to hit Hollywood with a major music deal. Set it Off will be featured in the movie once it is out.
“The success of my self-titled EP is just phenomenal! I thank my fans and management for the continued support and love they show me and my EP every day,” an excited Stella who is no stranger to major Hollywood gigs said.
She added: “I am excited about the news and the fact that the film will be out right in time for the Christmas season. I feel like the hard work I put in is being appreciated.”
A Bad Moms Christmas is an upcoming American Christmas comedy film directed and written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. It is a sequel of the 2016 film Bad Moms. The film stars Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, and Kathryn Hahn.

As if that’s not enough success to last a decade, Warner Music Group is launched the record Work in the whole of Europe on the 30th June, making Stella the first Norwegian based music artiste from east Africa to be featured on top playlists and radio charts across Europe. Work remains one of the most successful hits off the Stella Mwangi Hollywood EP.
It has bagged several Hollywood nods including Tommy Hilfiger Summer/Spring Collection launch 2017 in Los Angeles and Reebok Classics ‘Free Your Style’ worldwide commercial campaign featuring Teyana Taylor. The record is also a major hit in Italy, where she promoted it in a successful media tour that also saw her perform in Milan, Italy. Lastly, Work just made a debut, ranked alongside global artiste such as Katy Perry, in Russia (23rd June 2017) on Energy FM –one of the country’s top stations.
Stella Mwangi’s Hollywood EP is a fusion of songs with high energy and her distinct hip-hop flow that unites her fans across the globe. Fusing Swahili and English in her records, Stella continues to create a diverse sound while remaining authentic to her African origin and style. Big Girl was picked as a trailer soundtrack for the movie Rough Night that premiered in theatres, June 2017.
