In Nigeria, major happenings are akin to words. There is always a prefix and a suffix. Prophecies before the happening, and then reactions after. The 2016 American election was no exception.
The self appointed king of prophecies, Prophet TB Joshua, is as expected, at the helm of this story. Many will remember him as the head of the Synagogue Church of All Nation which collapsed back in September 2014. Well, the controversial man of God in his church on Sunday, November 6, predicted a ”narrow” win for Democratic candidate Hilary Clinton.
According to allAfrica, TB Joshua had said, “Ten days ago, I saw the new President of America with a narrow win. The new President will be facing several challenges over many issues, including: passing bills, attempts to possibly pass a vote of no confidence on the new President. The boat of the new President will be rocked.”
“By the way, in order not to keep you in suspense, what I frankly saw is a woman.” He assured the congregation.
The Facebook post detailing the TB Joshua’s prophecy has since been deleted and replaced with a prayer. Nevertheless, it recently reappeared on Twitter as memes of TB Joshua went viral.

Following the gruesome road to the Tuesday, November 8, show down, the controversial man of God predicted a ”narrow” win for Democratic candidate Hilary Clinton.
Well, Joshua may need to get his spiritual lens of divination checked as Trump emerged winner and President-elect of the United States of America. And as far as we know, Donald identifies as male.
Of course the happiest people on earth did not excuse this blunder. Following the emergence of Trump as winner, and while the world mourned for what many are calling the beginning of the end, Nigerians reacted as Nigerians are known to do in difficult times, by finding humor in the bleak. The butt of the joke? Prophet T.B Joshua, of course.
People: TB Joshua u said a woman will win
TB Joshua : u people didn't hear me clearly, I said woolman, the person his head looks like wool ????

Somehow, these inconsistencies in the message and controversial statements of Pastors does nothing to dissuade their congregation, who like Trump supporters, come to their defense time and time again, no matter how damning the evidence.
Another member of the clergy, Pastor Poju has identified the hand of God in the electing of Trump.
I have read it in scriptures but now i have seen it; a united church in prayer governs world affairs. Evangelicals were united for Trump

Here in Nigeria, while we find laughter in this situation, we also wait, like most of the world, to find out, what exactly happens next.
