Greetings From The Splendid Draâ Valley
Today we reveal the beauty of Draa Valley between the Atlas Mountains and the dunes of the Sahara. It is said to be one of Morocco’s most splendid landscapes. The Draa, is a mass of date plantations punctuated by kasbahs made of rammed red earth rising against the sky.
Today we reveal the beauty of Draa Valley between the Atlas Mountains and the dunes of the Sahara. It is said to be one of Morocco’s most splendid landscapes. The Draa, is a mass of date plantations punctuated by kasbahs made of rammed red earth rising against the sky.
According to Travel Exploration the Draa River is Morocco’s longest river and is formed by the confluence of the Dades River and Imini River. It flows from the HighAtlasMountains southeastward to Tagounit and from Tagounit mostly westwards to the Atlantic Ocean somewhat north of Tan-Tan. The water from the Draâ is used mainly to irrigate Palmeraies and small horticulture along the river. The inhabitants of the Draâ are called Drawi – dark skinned people of Draâ that make up the largest portion of its inhabitants.
