The Windhoek Fashion Week is certainly one of the biggest fashion events in southern Africa. In November 2016, Namibian designers first showcased their talent on the runway in the inaugural fashion week. In 2018, Windhoek Fashion Week (WFW) has grown much bigger with a record number of 450 models who came through to cast for the fashion week. This is double the number of models who came to cast in 2017 for the second annual event.

According to a press release by the organisers, since the announcement of the WFW 2018, massive interest from both local and international designers, models, media and industry professionals has been shown. The Windhoek Fashion Week is set to take place from the 6th to the 10th November in the capital city of Namibia, Windhoek.
