She has given us timeless classics for decades – music as evergreen as her regal looks.
Many of us were not even born in 1982 when the 23 year-old Nigerian-born British Sadu Adu formed the band Sade. Yet we’ve all hummed the tunes of Sweetest Taboo, Smooth Operator and By Your Side.
Now at 56, the famously reclusive star has, together with her band, sold more than 50 million units worldwide. The band is also ranked at number 50 of VH1’s 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.
