Meet Katanu Kay: Kenyan artist using traditional African fabric in breathtaking artwork
Today we showcase artwork by Katanu Kay, a 19 year old artist from Kenya who uses Kitenge in her paintings. Her talent has taken social media by storm.
19 year old Katanu Kay from Kenya has taken Instagram by storm through her lovely paintings. The young woman who is immensely talented uses the name mellow_bones on Instagram, where she also markets and sells her paintings.
Katanu has also in cooperated Kitenge/Chitenge (African textiles/fabric) in her paintings. Her father is also a painter who is helping her nurture her gift. We showcase some of her artwork today.
