Dr Dambisa Moyo’s bio reads like a page from some How To Be Successful & Take Over The World Guide. The Zambian-born academic, author and economist boasts a PhD in economics from Oxford University, a Masters degree from Harvard University, an MBA in finance and an undergraduate degree in chemistry from American University.
And she’s put all that education to good use. Over the past 10 years she’s travelled to over 75 countries where she has studied the economic, financial and political workings of emerging economies. She was named by TIME Magazine as one of the “100 Most Influential People in the World”.
She’s also drawn her fair share of controversy. In 2013 she stood up to Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates’s comments that books like her acclaimed Dead Aid are “promoting evil”.
Oh and she regularly participates in marathons. Which probably also explains why she’s so easy on the eye.
