South African comedian and Daily Show host, Trevor Noah is now the proud owner of a $10 million house in Manhattan, New York. The three bedroom house which has three full and two half bathrooms was on sale for almost a year at $12,995,000 before the price was lowered to $11.495 million. At a 10 percent discount, Noah took the house for a cool $10 million.
The house is reported to be in the Hell’s Kitchen neighbourhood in Manhattan.
Prior to buying the house, Trevor was renting a condo paying $15,000 a month. Jon Stewart, the former Daily Show host was estimated to take home between $25-$30 million annually, according to Business Insider. Although it is unclear how much Trevor takes home, it’s obvious it’s a figure that allows him doll out $10 million for a house.

According to New York Post, the 3,596-square-foot duplex sports a 934-square-foot terrace, ceilings 14 feet high, an eat-in chef’s kitchen with Miele appliances, and oversize windows in the living and dining rooms that look out at the city skyline. In addition, the second and third bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, while a staircase leads upstairs to the master suite, which has a wet bar, a dressing room and lots of closet space, the floor plan shows. Building amenities include a lounge for residents, gym, media room and garden.

The house was designed around the 1920s by Ralph Walker who named the tower after his wife. The house is located in the Stella Tower and has the views of the city skyline and the Hudson River. Moreso, it is just four blocks away from The Daily Show studio. According to Variety, Mister Noah’s new penthouse carries common charges of $4,358 per month along with monthly taxes of $4,432 per listing details — that provide them with a stunning, terrazzo-floored lobby staffed with uniformed full-time doormen, an on-site gym, media lounge and garden.
Noah’s acquisition has set tongues wagging on social media. Some have criticized the comedian saying he spent too much without “giving back”. Others on the other hand have argued that while they celebrate Noah’s achievements, its interesting that as a foreigner in the U.S. Noah is “flourishing” but African foreigners living in South Africa who excel at their jobs are treated with disdain.
Twitter was quick to make funny memes and jokes with regards to the house.
